South Miami, a city in the greater Miami area, welcomed its first food hall, Yumbrella, on Tuesday. The multi-concept destination from local food truck organizer and restaurateur Steve Simon is a revival of Miami’s original food hall from the 1970s.
Yumbrella, spanning 6,500 square feet, is home to seven restaurant concepts offering cuisines such as Latin American and Asian, a stage for musical performances, and a venue for private events.
“We are putting a twist on the food hall and we want this to be an experience for every guest that walks through our doors,” said Simon, director of operations. “We’re confident guests will have a great time under the Yumbrella.”
