Avocados From Mexico, the trade marketing association, this month expanded its consumer foodservice outlets to Miami with the opening this month of Tacos Por fAVOr outlets in the home of the Miami Dolphins. The group also plans a fast-casual restaurant.
The Irving, Texas-based trade group has debuted Tacos Por fAVOr at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., in collaboration with concessionaire Centerplate, the stadium’s foodservice operator.
The group opened AvoEats concessions outlets last fall in a collaboration with Levy Restaurants at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Hard Rock Stadium to deliver fresh, innovative avocado menu items to fans at this incredible venue,” said Alvaro Luque, president and CEO of Avocados From Mexico, in a statement.
“This is the second phase of Avocado From Mexico’s flagship concession program,” Luque said, “and we’re honored to bring delicious avocado taco dishes available at Tacos por fAVOr to the Miami market.”
Menu items include Avo Mojo Chicken Taco ($13.50), Avo Pork Carnitas Tacos ($11.50) and chips and guacamole for $6.50. One concession stand is on the main concourse level and the other on the club level, supplanted by multiple Avocados From Mexico-branded guacamole carts on the suite level.
Later this fall, Avocadoes From Mexico also has plans to open a fast-casual restaurant, reportedly under the name AvoEatery, at the Trinity Groves restaurant incubator just west of downtown Dallas.
Hard Rock Stadium serves as home to the Miami Dolphins, the Miami Open, University of Miami football, Orange Bowl and Super Bowl LIV next year.
“This partnership is a great way for us to elevate consumers’ dining experiences by having Avocados From Mexico readily available at Hard Rock Stadium,” said Stephanie Browder, associate director of foodservice at Avocados From Mexico.
Avocados From Mexico is a subsidiary of the Mexican Hass Avocado Importers Association.
