Dallas-based hospitality company names Bryan McVay as financial chief, Matt Smith as CMO
Milkshake Concepts, owner of The Finch, Vidorra and Harper’s steakhouse in Dallas, has expanded its executive team, adding Bryan McVay as chief financial officer and Matt Smith as chief marketing officer, the company said this week.
The Dallas-based hospitality company, which has 11 units, said McVay most recently worked with FB Society, owner of such brands as Mexican Sugar, Whiskey Cake, Sixty Vines and Velvet Taco, and Smith served as chief marketing officer for One Table Restaurant Brands, a holding company for the fast-casual Tocaya Organica, fine-dining Toca Madera and Tender Greens. McVay succeeds Ryan Price in the financial position.
“Continuing to add the best talent is vital as we strive to scale our brands nationally, and bringing in Bryan and Matt is a crucial step to help us achieve this,” said Imran Sheikh, co-founder and CEO and Milkshake Concepts, in a statement.
“Not only do they both bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in the hospitality industry,” Sheikh said, “but they are also two genuine cultural fits who will help push Milkshake to new heights.”
The Milkshake Concepts senior leadership team includes Sheikh as well as James Faller, chief operating officer, Tommy Hamilton, vice president of operations and Rodman Shields, director of culinary.
Imran Sheikh, Asim Sheikh and James Faller founded Milkshake Concepts in 2015. It’s brands also include Stirr, Layer Cake, The Dippy Egg, Dirty Bones, Serious Pizza, Serious Shakes and Serious Sliders as well nightlife brands Citizen, Cherry Lounge and Saaya.
