Seven Lions, a contemporary American clubhouse restaurant from proprietor and wine goddess Alpana Singh, opened its door in February across from the famed Art Institute of Chicago. The 12,000-square-foot concept is located in the landmark Peoples Gas Building downtown. Executive chef Chris Curren offers a modern interpretation of American clubhouse fare, including a Cobb salad, a club sandwich and pork shank. Seven Lions also offers a lunch and brunch menu. Singh, a master sommelier and a 2001 Restaurant Hospitality Rising Star, compiled the 250-bottle wine list. Also available is a contemporary list of cocktails. In addition to an 85-seat main dining room, there are three private dining rooms.
